What do you know about cybersecurity?
In an age of technology, everyone is online. We bank online, store information online, use multiple accounts, and some even completely run their businesses online. Threats are on the rise and it is more important than ever that we are fully protected in the online world.
Think about it, you wouldn’t live in a house that doesn’t have locks, right? For the same reason you protect yourself and your home, you should also be protecting yourself and your business online.
In today’s episode of Construct & Generate, I sat down with Brian Guenther to talk about cybersecurity and the importance of protecting your business online.
Brian is the owner of Exceed Cybersecurity & IT services. He is passionate about helping protect businesses and ensuring they have the knowledge they need to make the best decisions for their companies.
Brian is also an avid traveler, foodie, cook, and enjoys hiking and spending time with loved ones. Brian lives in Maryland and is married with 2 children and 2 cats.
It’s not possible to be 100% secure online. There will always be some exposure or threat that you may not know about. It is important that you stay on top of it and keep it as secure as possible.
Topics We Cover in This Episode:
The importance of staying educated when it comes to cybersecurity
The importance of risk assessments or penetration tests
The difference between a breach and a compromise
How to know if your business has been exposed
The first step to securing your business
Tools that protect your business
It is so important to stay on top of cybersecurity, especially as a business owner. If you are using the same password for every site or using your browser's password storage system, you are at a huge risk.
Brian is so knowledgeable about this topic and I am so thankful he was able to join us on the show to share things we can all do to make our businesses more secure online.
If you are ready to take the first step to securing your business online, I highly recommend you take Brians's cybersecurity risk quiz. If you are interested in chatting with Brian, make sure to check out his website.
